Your test recording sounds good. Certainly no chorus FX.

I bought a Beringer Eurorack UB1204 FX from dolphinmusic.co.uk recently for around £100.

I must admit, it really is tricky figuring out which button sends the sound to what output.

The sound FX on the Berringer are all horrible. They add in enormous amounts of hiss.

I think you got a better buy.

But do you really need a mixer for podcasting over Skype? It would come in handy for a discussion with three or four people in the room. But if you only have one microphone your end, I'm not sure there's a need to mix any levels.
